NSC MP Harm Holman from Roden regrets his comparison of agricultural minister Femke Wiersma (BBB) with ‘a cow that is inseminated ten times, but does not want to become pregnant’. “In retrospect, I shouldn’t have done that,” he tells De Telegraaf.
Outgoing Minister Wiersma said today in the Lower House that she thinks it is ‘unacceptable’ that Holman has made that comparison. Wiersma said it touched her that her children had to read the comparison on social media.
Holman made the comment during a debate about nitrogen yesterday in the Lower House. NSC government party wants Wiersma to work with a proposal from environmental organizations for stricter nitrogen measures.
Holman has already indicated that he would not return after the elections this fall.
