The death of national player Tobias Eder falls into a state of shock. Eder had already succumbed to his serious illness a few days ago. “We remember the many fun, beautiful and special moments that we were able to experience with Tobi and say goodbye to our gratitude for the time together,” said the Deb.
Due to the “critically deteriorated state of health” by Eder, the planned league game of the polar bears had been moved to February 26 at ERC Ingolstadt. The team of the polar bears had not seen themselves able to play for Wednesday. On Friday, according to the schedule, the Berliners receive Düsseldorfer eG, one of Eder’s former clubs.

Eisbear club owners Philip Anschutz, a US billionaire, had offered to bear the costs for the treatment of the goal scorer and also for possible therapy in the USA. “Dear Tobi, you will be missing. You have always conjured up a smile on the face. We will always remember you!” The DEL record champion now wrote.
