Van Egmond was a photographer much loved in the paddock, who was employed by Red Bull Racing and the Dutch magazine in recent years. He died earlier this year at the age of 68.
All photographers who worked at a Formula 1 race this season can submit their best work. The ultimate winner of Peter’s F1 Racing Photo Contest will receive a cash prize of 2,500 euros, the number two 1,250 euros and 750 euros has been made available for third place. There is also a public prize, worth a voucher of 2,500 euros.
Details about that public vote will be announced later this month. Motorsport federation FIA immediately embraced the initiative
