In Gullegem, around 200 motorcyclists today test their skills at the Kortrijk Rijschool. Slaloms, taking sharp turns and driving a walk: even experienced drivers notice that they have to get used to it again. “You think you’re still in the fingers, but if you do such an exercise, you realize that it is not so obvious,” says motorcyclist Koen Lauwers.

Instructor Hervé Bultinck emphasizes that driving at low speed is a challenge. “Driving at high speed is not the most difficult, but slow driving and balancing requires really control over the engine.” The focus today is on improving fine motor skills and estimating dangers in traffic.
