Fallen during the qualifications of the German GP at Sachsenring, Vinales reported a smaller fracture to the above tendon that prevented him from taking part in the sprint and the long race. Sunday 13 July, the Tech3 Ktm driver flew to Italy to undergo an shoulder operation. The team says that the intervention has perfectly successful and the rehabilitation period will begin. The Spaniard, however, will skip next weekend, scheduled from 18 to 20 July in the Czech Republic on the Brno circuit.
