Second weekend of the season for the Spanish test driver, after the one in the Czech Republic
It will be Pol Espargaro to replace Maverick Vinales on the Ktm Tech3 in the Hungary Grand Prix. For him it is the second return to the track this season of the MotoGP: in Brno the team test driver concluded the race in ninth position. After the retreat in 2023, Espargaro still participated in several weekends like Wildcard.
Vinales’ injury

Vinales was injured in Sachsenring and was forced to operate on the left shoulder for the breakdown of a tendon. In Austria he received the Medici ok to return, but the pain was still too strong and after the second free practice session he decided together with Dr. Angel Charte, head of the mobile clinic, to skip the rest of the weekend.

Espargaro commented on his return with a story on Instagram: “It is hard for Vinales to skip another race, but as we have seen in Austria he needs more time to better recover and it is right to think about MotoGP only when you are 100%. I hope you come back as soon as possible, I am happy to be able to help the team competing once again”, concluded the Spaniard.
