After the Montmelò test on a road aprilia, Jorge will return to turn but this time with the RS-GP. The Spaniard will take advantage of the new rule that allows the injured pilots to find confidence with the bike before the return in the race
Jorge Martin’s return to MotoGP could be close. In fact, after carrying out a private test on the Montmelò circuit, last week, the Spaniard, absent in the great prizes since April, will still take to the track for a new test, which will take place on Wednesday 9 July in Misano. This time, on the track named after Marco Simoncelli, the outgoing champion will not lead a road motorcycle like the Aprilia RSV4 used in the Catalan test. Martin will have the opportunity to resume confidence with the RS-GP which will use once to races. The Italian manufacturer made it known.
NOVELTY
–
This test is the effect of a change in the regulation. An opening for MotoGP drivers who, thanks to an injury, skipped three or more consecutive great prizes or were unable to compete for at least 45 consecutive days during the season. Requirements respected by Martin, who will benefit from a test day, using a maximum of three sets of tires. The goal behind this change is to gradually find the ideal feeling with the bike. For Jorge it will therefore be an important stage in his return to racing.
Towards Brno
–
Martin hasn’t competed since April, when, in the Qatar GP, he fell reporting serious consequences: hemopneumo -cree and fractures to the ribs. Furthermore, full of bad luck, the Aprilia pilot was already returning from two serious accidents suffered before starting the season. The latest medical checks excluded Jorge’s participation in the German GP, scheduled from 11 to 13 July. The physical recovery is good, but not yet complete. If the Misano test confirms good sensations, however, the world champion could really think of running in the Czech Republic Grand Prix, which will be held from 18 to 20 July in Brno. Waiting for the definitive green light of the doctors, a first answer will arrive on Wednesday.
