After Sparks criticized the racially connoted statements and political views of Morrissey, he was no longer so good to speak of Ron and Russell Mael. And to underline his opinion on the brothers, the 65-year-old used his Instagram account to base against them.
Headless … what?
On the social media platform, Morrissey shared several photos and explained them in the associated caption. Among the pictures was one of a handwritten note from the Sparks to Morrissey. In this, the siblings are involved in the British that they would also send him demos together with the message where they worked, but they are still “very rough”. In addition, they would have tried to get the ex-the-Smith singer on the phone “for about a week”, but “no luck”. You would hope that the tape would “reach him somewhere” and he should call it if he got it.
Morrissey’s reaction to this at the time of collaboration is unclear, but he now made his point of view all the more clearly – at least in the sense that one can understand in his current caption that he can no longer suffer the duo from Los Angeles at all. But the choice of words turned out to be a little less clear. He wrote: “A nice note by Ron and Russell Mael-before they have turned into headless Palisades who thrown their old friends into hot, melted lava for a sexy kick.” Or to rejuvenate it a little more understandably, he talked about: “Headless primitivers who horny to look at their old friends while torching.”

What happened before
Morrissey was actually a fan of the music of the Sparks – even when she published the song “Lighten Up Morrissey” in 2009, he probably took it with humor.
But the Mael men soon positioned themselves more clearly against the UK star. Russell Mael told “Press Association” in 2018: “I agree with everyone who [von Morrissey] is disillusioned because I am too. ” And further: “It seemed so contradictory, all of these perspectives that he has on these different topics, simply stupid, stupid things. Of course I don’t agree with any of these things. They are just so badly thought out and wrong.”
According to media reports, Morrissey felt that he was headed. His veneration of the band stopped abruptly.
