Moroccans celebrate in Kortrijk, no riots

Honking, cheering and a lot of Moroccan supporters around the station area in Kortrijk. That is the sign of a historic evening. Morocco writes history at the World Cup in Qatar and becomes the first African country ever to reach the semi-finals.

A striking header from En-Nesyri was enough to knock Portugal out of the World Cup with an inconsolable Christiano Ronaldo. The police in Kortrijk are alert and there is increased vigilance. Part of the station square has been cordoned off as a precaution. The Moroccan community had called in advance to form a human chain to prevent riots.
