At least thirteen people were killed in a Russian airstrike in Zaporizhia, a city in southern Ukraine, on Wednesday. The local authorities reported this via Telegram. Dozens of people have also been injured.
Two bombs are said to have landed on residential blocks. A fire broke out in an apartment building. Images posted on social media by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky show several people lying dead or injured in the street.
Zaporizhia is located about 25 kilometers from the front line in southern Ukraine. The city is regularly shelled by Russia.
