The Irish textile discounter Primark announced the appointment of Mona Roberts on Head of Marketing for the markets of Germany and Austria on Monday.
In her new role, Robert’s “Fashion brand Primark will continue to advance communicative and brand strategically and increase the awareness of the brand in Germany and Austria,” said the company.
According to her new employer, Roberts has “built up a comprehensive expertise in the field of marketing and brand development in various internationally active advertising and communication agencies in the course of her 20-year career”. As a communication consultant, she looked after well-known textile and shoe retailers such as Deichmann, C&A, Karstadt, QVC, Tommy Hilfiger and Esprit. Most recently, she was responsible for the area of advertising, brand and content as a managing partner at the agency Ogilvy Germany GmbH.
Lisa Shannon, the managing director of Primark Germany and Austria, welcomed the new employee: “With her many years of experience and deep understanding of trade and fashion communication, Mona Roberts is the perfect choice for the management of our brand communication,” she said in one statement .
