The accident happened around half past five this afternoon, a police spokesperson confirms. The precise cause of death is still being investigated. “It is possible that the person has become unwell and therefore ended up in the water, or that the person died in the water,” said the spokesperson.
The driver was taken out of the water shortly after the incident. Despite resuscitation attempts, the person died on the spot. Exactly how the accident could have happened is still being investigated.
