In his home country Cameroon, Francis Ngannou apparently loses control of his vehicle – with tragic consequences.
He is one of the most successful and feared fighters in mixed martial arts, where techniques from various martial arts are combined. He has already tried to box. But away from the arenas, Francis Ngannou now had to accept another difficult blow.
According to media reports, the 38-year-old was already involved in a serious accident with death on the Easter weekend in his homeland in Cameroon. Accordingly, Ngannou had grasped a 17-year-old girl in the capital Yaoundé with his motorcycle. The teenager was hit so heavily that he later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
According to reports, Ngannou has taken over the full treatment costs for the young woman. However, the former heavyweight champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has not yet publicly commented on the incident.
Last year there was sad news about Ngannou: The martial artist’s son, which was only 15 months old, died of an undefined malformation in the brain. But now Ngannou has apparently caused a serious accident with death. The local authorities have initiated an investigation.
