Julian Gressel will play alongside Lionel Messi next season. The German-American, who was born in Neustadt an der Aisch, signed a contract with Inter Miami on Tuesday until December 31, 2026. Until recently, the 30-year-old midfielder had laced up his boots at Columbus Crew and won the title last year.

“Julian is an established player with a great track record in the league who has proven himself at every stage of his MLS career,” said Miami sporting director Chris Henderson. “We are pleased to add him to our squad as his versatility and quality will strengthen Inter Miami as we look to build on last season’s success in 2024.”
