59-year-old Jannes, who had been missing since March, has been found. The man appears to be deceased. According to the police, his body was found on November 30 in Langelo.
“There is no crime,” the police said X.
The alarm was raised on March 13 after Jannes had not been seen for two days. He had left Groningen by bicycle, possibly in the direction of Peize. His family made an appeal on Facebook that was shared thousands of times.
In attempts to find Jannes, search dogs, drones and divers were used in the area of Groningen and Peize. At the end of March, the police announced that there were no more leads to conduct further investigation.
