10-year-old Wendy, for whom the police issued an Amber Alert on the night from Saturday to Sunday sent outis correct again. That reports the police on Sunday – Wendy was “found alive in a house in Rotterdam”. On Saturday afternoon she left her home on Paul Krugerstraat at 1 p.m. to go to her parents’ shop on Hilledijk, but she did not arrive there, writes the ANP news agency.
The police in Rotterdam were very concerned, ANP writes. “She does not have a cell phone with her, so we cannot contact her at all,” a police spokesperson said on Sunday. The cold – it was freezing last night in Rotterdam – also “certainly played a role” in the decision to issue an Amber Alert. Officers searched the area with a drone and sniffer dogs.
Amber Alerts are sent out nationwide when a child goes missing and the police believe he or she is in mortal danger. The last Alerts were sent out in the spring of 2025. The police were then looking for a brother and sister from Dalfsen. They were found “in good health” in the Belgian city of Oudenaarde. A month later, an Alert was sent to Jeffrey and Emma from Groningen, who were killed by their father.
