The Kenyan Brimin Misoi Kipkorir won the Frankfurt Marathon twice. Now the runner is temporarily suspended.

Runner Brimin Misoi Kipkorir has been temporarily suspended due to a positive doping test. As the independent integrity commission (AIU) of the World Athletics Association announced, the banned blood doping agent EPO and furosemide were demonstrated in the Kenyan.

Furosemides lead to drainage of the body and can thus disguise the intake of other forbidden substances. According to AIU, the positive sample comes from November 22nd last year.

Misoi Kipkorir won the Frankfurt Marathon in 2022 and 2023. Last year he also won the Sydney Marathon with a track record of 2:06:18 hours.
