Minnesota’s Supreme Court has abandoned Helena birch Application case. The case is revealed in the court documents on 29 January.
Helena applied for an appeal from the Supreme Court in her and her ex-husband Mikko Koivu’s divorce. The divorce of the ex-couple has been dealt with in court since 2020.
In the same context, Mikko Koivu’s request for the Supreme Court rejected the request of Mikko Koivu to deal with the matter from his perspective.
In October 2024, the court of Minnesota considered that the matrimonial agreement concluded under Finnish law would be valid and enforceable. The judge also decided that Mikko’s payments to Helena would be deducted from the millionth amount agreed in the marriage contract.
On October 31, Helena received an arrest order in the United States because she did not arrive at consultation. Hearing dealt with divorce issues. After arrest, the birch can be released against $ 500 warranty. The arrest order was and still is under the title “Bench Warrant”, that is, in other words, it does not expire.
According to the decision of 2023, Mikko has paid Helena a total of more than EUR 1 million after February 2020. In addition, Mikko was found to have paid his former spouse’s legal costs of more than half a million euros. According to the court, the fees may be deducted from Helena’s millionth amount, which is recorded in a marriage contract.
The birches previously lived in the state of Minnesota. In June 2023, the Minnesota court decided that the couple’s children would move to Turku, which is Mikko’s hometown. Helena, on the other hand, would have wanted the children to stay with the United States.
Currently, Helena, children and Mikko live in Finland.
In January, it was reported that Helena Koivu is seeking a restraining order for a man who is known to work as a service officer on the birch property. The matter will be dealt with in court in February.
Helena Koivu is also seeking a restraining order for Mikko and Natalie Koivu. The matter will be dealt with in Finnish law in March.
Helena Koivu is currently accused of theft in the District Court of Southwest Finland for theft, smuggling and violation of home peace. As a lawyer, or victims, are Mikko Koivu and his wife Natalie birch. The time of the trial is not yet known, as the matter is just pending.
