Mimosa Jallow was eliminated from the 50m backstroke final at the Budapest World Championships. Jallow was seventh in his own time at 27.99.
– Okay, I was hoping for better, but I got caught, Jallow commented on his swim in Yle’s broadcast.
Jallow was on a steady front in the finish line, but in the end he was almost three-tenths out of the final. Jallow’s time eventually led to 12th place in the semifinals.
The Finn swam in the first round for 28.06. Jallow’s personal and Finnish record in the long distance 50 meters is 27.42.
