Michael Schumacher the actions of the decision-makers in his hometown Kerpen have infuriated the F1 legend’s little brother Ralf Schumacher.

The reason for the tantrum is that the city council voted against the proposal to give Schumacher the title of honorary citizen of Kerpen.

– Performances are apparently not important. I am speechless when I think about what my brother has done for Kerpen thanks to his success, Ralf wrote in his Instagram post.

In his publication, Ralf criticized the Social Democratic Party of Germany in particular.

– This is typical of Germany and our politics. Nothing surprises me about SPD anymore.

“Doesn’t make sense”

Chairman of the SPD group of the city council Andreas Lipp comment Kölner Stadtanzeiger – magazine, that honorary citizenship “doesn’t make sense”.

– We simply have other things to take care of, Lipp said.

Schumacher’s fan association has been trying to promote the legend’s honorary citizenship for a long time.

– I am very angry. The city is unable to appoint a person who has won seven world championships as an honorary citizen, criticizes the chairman of the association Reiner Ferling for Kölner Stadtanzeiger.

Ferling presented honorary citizenship at the beginning of this year, when exactly ten years had passed since Schumacher’s skiing accident. The seriously injured Schumacher has not been seen in public since the accident.
