Do you believe at home?
The game was 5–1, when Joensuu’s Kiekko-Pojat and Kokkola’s Hermes went to the first break of the ice hockey Mestis on Thursday. The away team JoKP led.
The game seemed already over.
Hermes changed the goalkeeper, but in 35:45 Niko Mikkola already scored the sixth goal for the guests.
Unbelievably, Mesti’s jumbo Hermes still came out victorious.
Hermes scored a 2-6 narrow goal in the last minute of the second period.
In the third set, Hermes hit times of 41.03, 48.31, 51.56 and 53.43. The 7-6 final score was decided in a shootout.
The head coach of Joensuu Kiekko-Poikie Juha-Matti Kemppainen according to the estimate, JoKP was not quite 5–1 or 6–1 better at the beginning of the match.
According to Kemppainen, the players were “in a hurry to attack and get more points and goals”.
– As a result, the match got out of hand in a completely unforgivable way, Kemppainen said.
Joensuu Kiekko-Pojat may apply for a league license for next season.
