Numerous members do not want to accept this decision and instead continue to have the general meeting voted on one of the best -known players in the club’s history. One of the largest fan clubs of the HSV has also positioned itself clearly. “With great incomprehension and growing concern, we are pursuing the developments related to the non-approval of Felix Magath. If you remove the applicant with the clearest sporting profile and the greatest relevant experience from the race, the selection is restricted,” says an open letter from the fan club “Hermann’s loyal ranks” with more than 1000 members.
According to a “picture” report, Magath himself commented publicly on Friday evening about the rejection of his candidacy. “I respect the decision of the advisory board, even if it is not understandable in terms of content,” said the 73-year-old during a visit to the fan club.
