Tadej Pogacar looks back on an extremely successful cycling season. The year 2025 was worth it for the Slovenian not only from a sporting but also from a financial perspective.
As the “Gazzetta dello Sport” has calculated, Tadej Pogacar will record income of around twelve million euros in the 2025 season.
The Slovenian’s salary from his employer UAE Team Emirates makes up the largest part. Last year, the Italian sports newspaper revealed that the 27-year-old has been earning eight million euros per year since his contract was extended until 2030.
In addition to the fixed salary, there are high, performance-related bonuses that are paid out when titles are won. According to the report, Pogacar received one million euros for his fourth victory in the Tour de France this summer. He received an additional 250,000 euros for his successful defense of his title at the World Championships.
For victories at the other Grand Tours in Italy (Giro d’Italia) and Spain (Vuelta), Pogacar would receive a bonus of 500,000 euros each. According to the report, his successes this year in the monuments (Tour of Flanders, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Tour of Lombardy) were not paid extra due to the high basic salary.
Tadej Pogacar: High income through sponsorship
Various sponsorship agreements make up another large part of the income. The “Gazzetta dello Sport” calculated revenues totaling two million euros.
Pogacar has entered into numerous partnerships with various companies in recent years. Two more deals are being planned for 2026, each expected to bring in an additional million euros, so that sponsorship income could even double next year.
According to the newspaper, the rest of the revenue in 2025 will come from sales of merchandise products. Revenues here are said to have doubled compared to the previous year.
