The murder occurred while rescuers were raiding the victim’s home
Tragedy late yesterday evening in Milan, where a 29 year old girl, Pamela Geminiwas stabbed to death by her boyfriend Gianluca Soncin, 52, during a violent argument that broke out, according to the latest reconstructions, after the young woman’s decision to end that relationship started a year earlier.

The feminicide took place just before 10pm yesterday, Tuesday 14 October, in Pamela’s home in the Gorla district, in the northern suburbs of Milan. The 29-year-old, according to what her ex-boyfriend reported, he had decided to leave Soncin after months of threats and violence which Pamela had not yet reported to the authorities.
Last night, the Corriere della Sera, Soncin showed up at Pamela’s house. The young woman, determined to leave him, immediately realized the 52-year-old’s violent intentions and promptly asked for help by telephone from her ex-boyfriend, who was aware of the difficult situation that Gemini was experiencing. It was he who alerted 112, but when the rescuers arrived everything collapsed in a few moments.

When the first rescuers arrived at the house in via Iglesias, Pamela was still alive. It was she who answered the intercom to the Volante officers who, in an attempt not to make the 52-year-old suspicious, pretended to be delivery boys for a home delivery of food. The young woman, however, was unable to open the door to them: Soncin immediately turned on herdragged her onto the terrace of the house and, in front of the gazes of the neighbors attracted by Pamela’s screams, he stabbed her several times. “We heard his screams, very loudly. He was shouting ‘help, help'”, a neighbor reported to the Corriere della Sera.
When the officers managed to break into the apartment, there was nothing left for Pamela to do. The 52-year-old, at the sight of the rescuers, he attempted to take his own life by hitting himself in the neck with two blows and was transported in serious condition to the Niguarda hospital, where he is still hospitalized with no life-threatening injuries.
