Maxime Meiland is bashed pretty hard by Rob Goossens, the TV expert of RTL Boulevard. He has the idea that she is becoming less and less relevant for SBS 6. “She is too stupid.”
It is something that Chateau Meiland really needs after all these years: some new characters. And to respond to that, Martien Meiland was sent to his brother in the premiere of the new season on Monday evening. The viewers were enthusiastic about it and fellow head of characters Erica and Maxime Meiland seemed absolutely not missing.
Maxime too Dom
Maxime seems to be ‘becoming less relevant’ in the soap series, writes Rob Goossens in his column on the RTL Boulevard site. “Martien will secretly also feel that everything is being done behind the scenes to minimize the broadcasting time of the rest of his family?”
Rob points to the Chateau Meiland Vips program, in which the Meilandjes tried to interview Dutch celebrities. “So that the family itself had to be less in the picture. That could have turned out well, were it not that Maxime too stupid and Montana turned out to be too boring to have an entertaining conversation with the guests.”
Parasites
What does Rob think that Martien’s brother is being used now? “The message from SBS 6 thus becomes very clear: preferably an anonymous flower grower next to Martien than Maxime or Montana on the tube for longer.”
“And with that, after years of parasitizing the success of Martien, the curtain seems to be slowly falling for the Meiland women. (…) That must hurt for the man who uses his own TV success in recent years as a employment project for his close relatives.”
Reckless
For Maxime that will be very painful, because that girl is now 29 and still can’t stand on her own two feet, says Rob. “Especially with Maxime the recklessness against the skirting boards.”
“Despite her dependence on her father’s popularity, she closed a million mortgage from a house two years ago that she has sold – luckily – again. (…) How long will Martien survive before he will definitely survive his wives to the food bank?”
