Apple is bringing its multi-device insurance, AppleCare One, to Germany. For just €20.99 per month, users can cover up to three Apple devices under a single plan, which even includes older hardware.

Approximately a year after its launch in the United States, Apple is set to launch AppleCare One in Germany. Starting Tuesday, August 4, customers can sign up for the plan via apple.com/de or at the Apple Store. Existing AppleCare+ users or those who recently purchased a new device can switch directly through their iPhone, iPad, or Mac. For €20.99 per month, the plan covers up to three products, with the option to add additional devices for €5.99 each per month.

One Plan Instead of Multiple Individual Contracts

AppleCare One consolidates all the benefits of AppleCare+, including unlimited repairs for accidental damage, battery replacement, and priority support, into a single subscription. If you cover an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch together, Apple claims you can save up to €13.48 per month compared to having separate individual contracts with theft and loss protection. Additionally, existing devices can now be integrated into the plan for up to four years after purchase—much longer than the previous 60-day limit under the standard AppleCare+. However, a condition assessment is required, which may be performed via diagnosis on the device itself or directly at the Apple Store.

Repairs Still Involve a Deductible

Despite the subscription, repairs or device replacements will still incur a deductible fee, which varies depending on the product and damage type. For an iPhone, fees range from €29 to €99 based on the damage, while theft incurs a €129 fee. Apple Watch repairs can vary from €65 to €75, and theft is priced at €119. MacBook repair costs range from €59 to €179; other Macs and displays have deductibles between €99 and €259. AirPods and Beats headphones have the lowest fee at €29, while Apple TV and HomePod mini can be replaced for just €15. Apple provides a list of deductible fees for reference.

Battery replacement is exempt from these fees. It’s also crucial for Mac users to note that theft coverage does not provide replacements. Devices such as headphones, Apple TVs, and HomePods are also excluded from theft protection. Along with AppleCare One launch, Apple is also introducing AppleCare+ with theft and loss protection for iPads and Apple Watches as standalone options, which covers up to two claims per year.
