“It was a great summer break, in which I was able to relax and spent time with family and friends,” said Verstappen in a preview of his team Red Bull Racing. “It was good to charge and reset and we go straight to Zandvoort for the first race after the break. Because it is my home game, it is always a special race for me.”
The four-time world champion continues: “The atmosphere is great and we always get so much support. Driving a sea during racing is a great feeling and I am looking forward to being back. Zandvoort is an old-school circuit with a fairly unique layout and many fast turns. It will be a tough race and it seems that the weather conditions can cause difficult circumstances.”
It is expected to be a wet weekend in Zandvoort. For the time being, most of the rain seems to fall on Saturday.
