Lambiase is expected to be back on the circuit on Silverstone next week. He will be replaced on the Red Bull Ring by Simon Rennie, an experienced British engineer who worked with Daniel Ricciardo for years. When the Australian left Red Bull after the 2018 season, Rennie got a role in the factory in Milton Keynes at his own request.
He is a familiar face for the drivers, and therefore also for Verstappen, since he is the main engineer of the simulator program. In 2020 he also returned to the circuit to assist Verstappens at the time of teammate Alex Albon.
