Max Verstappen is without a question one of the greatest of his sport. But now the reigning Formula 1 world champion has sorted current colleagues in different categories and, above all, has repeatedly mentioned a routine F1 pilot.
Max Verstappen has already collected four World Cup titles in his previous Formula 1 career. The fact that another will be added in 2026 is rather excluded. Oscar Piatri is currently leading the driver’s ranking significantly, followed by his McLaren colleague Lando Norris. Verstappen is “only” third.
When sorting the best current drivers into different categories that Verstappen carried out for the Spanish sports newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, but both Piatri and Norris did not appear.
In the “Qualifying” category, Verstappen, who was not allowed to call himself, preferred to go to a Ferrari routine. “Phew, that’s difficult, I have to think about something … I always thought Charles Leclerc was a very good driver in qualifying,” said Verstappen to hunt.

As for the cleverly driver, Verstappen would have liked to put on himself because it was not possible, he said: “So I would choose Fernando Alonso based on his experience.”
Also in terms of the best defender in direct duels on the route, Verstappen fell on the Spaniard. “He is brilliant in defense,” said the Dutch about Alonso.
