Max Verstappen’s collision in Barcelona continues. He was faced again before the race in Austria. The world champion reacted annoyed.

Max Verstappen is under observation – and now lost patience. At the press conference before the Formula 1 race in Spielberg, the Red Bull driver reacted visibly irritably when asked about his penalty points: “Should that be a joke?” Said the Dutch. “I will be asked every weekend.”

The world champion has threatened a racing lock since the beginning of June. Verstappen had received three penalty points for the collision with Mercedes driver George Russell and is now at a total of eleven. From twelve points, a racing lock automatically threatens.

Two of his points expire immediately after the race in Austria on Monday. Until then, Verstappen must not afford any further violation of the rules.

Red Bull is already preparing an emergency plan in the background. Motorsport consultant Helmut Marko explained to the “Kleine Zeitung”: “We are preparing if Max Verstappen should really happen with regard to his penalty points.” Two replacement drivers are available: the Japanese Ayumu Iwasa – and the 17 -year -old young talent Arvid Lindblad.
