Matthijs van Nieuwkerk would be perfect for the presentation of stars on the canvas, thinks private editor-in-chief Evert Santegoeds. “Everything comes together for him.”
Jan Slagter, the boss of Omroep Max, has publicly sent Özcan Akyol the avenue as a presenter of stars on the canvas. Why? The writer became crib when he was asked in Zomergasten about his much-discussed role in the Matthijs van Nieuwkerk scandal. According to the Omroepbaas, EUS has been guilty of measurement.
Matthijs New Host?
Eus is now out as a presenter as stars on the canvas and is called Matthijs as his successor: the ultimate revenge. “The dismissal of EUS from Omroep Max is in a power adjustment, because the program will continue, because that scores the roof tiles,” says Evert Santegoeds in the podcast Strictly private.
He continues: “Matthijs would be very suitable for stars on the canvas. It is of course the ultimate revenge of Jan Slagter if he would say:” Well, we don’t go with you anymore and we ask Matthijs for that program. “

Matthijs is perfect for it, thinks Evert. “For Matthijs everything comes together: interviewing guests, art, he can approach that artists well, so the first job of Matthijs back on TV seems free to take it.”
And today inside, where he is in the picture as a raid hole? “I hear that Matthijs doubts very much about that. I was enthusiastic about the idea this week, because that would be a made -up bed and a warm bath, but he is very shocked, I understand.”

According to Evert, Matthijs prefers to follow his own path. “He is working on other things in the country and that could grow into a program or something.”
“I believe that the audience is ready for Matthijs’s return and he is ready for it himself, but he takes it very quietly and then one day it will be fine.”
