Lothar Matthäus expects many transfers in the summer at FC Bayern. Because now comes Tuchel’s “desired period”.

Football record player Lothar Matthäus expects many more personnel decisions at FC Bayern in the coming weeks after the Munich management earthquake with the end of sports director Hasan Salihamidzic and CEO Oliver Kahn.

It's over for the Munich management duo, sports director Hasan Salihamidzic (l.) and CEO Oliver Kahn (here on the 32nd matchday in the game against Schalke)

“I can well imagine four or five players leaving FC Bayern. Yes, also German national players. what will happen Joshua Kimmich, who really wants to play on the six? Remains Leon Goretzka?” wrote Matthäus in his Sky column. There have always been rumors of a change to both national players.

Keeper Sommer recently made a mistake at 1: 3 in Mainz

The future of players like Ryan Gravenberch, Leroy Sané, Serge Gnabry or Manuel Neuer replacement Yann Sommer still seems unclear.

Matthäus found that the personnel merry-go-round is certainly turning more clearly than one or the other can already see today. “Many of the most recent transfers in Munich were Nagelsmann players and were approved and supported by Hasan Salihamidzic and Oliver Kahn. But now comes the desired period from Tuchel.

Rummenigge a win

Matthäus described the return of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge as a win for the club. “With his many contacts, his experience and his worldwide standing, together with Uli Hoeneß, Jan-Christian Dreesen, Tuchel and Herbert Hainer, he will again ensure that this big ship is going in the right direction,” said the 62-year-old. The realignment with Kahn and Salihamidzic has been corrected.

After the championship title, Dreesen was introduced as sports director for Kahn. It is still unclear who will follow Salihamidzic. Matthew, however, sees no reason to rush. “I think the current constellation at FC Bayern could do without a sports director for a year or two,” said the former Bayern professional. Hoeneß had recently announced that he wanted to fill the post by Christmas.
