The Eintracht Frankfurt chapter is over for Omar Marmoush. The striker said an emotional farewell – and received a lot of praise.
There has been speculation for a long time, but now the departure is perfect: striker Omar Marmoush is leaving Eintracht Frankfurt and moving to Manchester City. All that’s missing is official confirmation. Marmoush no longer played in the convincing 2-0 win against Borussia Dortmund on Friday evening – the 25-year-old Egyptian was still the big topic of Friday evening.
Because: Marmoush stood on the lawn of the Waldstadion and was celebrated by the Frankfurt fans. The professional is drawn to the Premier League, and the championship team led by coach Pep Guardiola is apparently prepared to pay a transfer fee of up to 80 million euros. The Hessians only brought Marmoush on a free transfer from VfL Wolfsburg a year and a half ago.
