Marlon B. (42) from Hoogeloon has never admitted that he murdered his ex Silvana Heber (36). The woman was found dead on November 22, 2022 in a kind of grave in the rural area between Vessem and Veldhoven. Marlon B. has now been in prison for 14 months for the murder of his ex. He will appear in court on Thursday and the question is: will he confess or remain silent?
All the elements for a classic partner murder are present in this case: Silvana wanted to leave Marlon after living with him for three years in their house on Dyckmeesterstraat in Hoogeloon. She had already found another house and was moving the last of her belongings.
But suddenly Silvana went missing. On Saturday, November 19, all alarm bells went off when the woman did not show up to visit family. Marlon B. had simply gone to the football club with his and her children that morning, as he often does on Saturdays.
He was arrested later that day, but no matter what the police tried, Marlon remained silent or denied having anything to do with de Silvana’s disappearance. A few days later, police found Silvana’s body, probably thanks to GPS data from Marlon’s car.
Justice will probably focus on murder on Thursday. During an earlier hearing, the public prosecutor indicated that Marlon had planned his wife’s death in advance. For example, tire tracks were found in the garden behind the house where Marlon and Silvana lived. Silvana’s blood was found in the house and in Marlon’s car. And GPS data from Marlon’s car would show that on Friday night, when Silvana disappeared, he was at the Half Mijl in Veldhoven, where Silvana was buried.
Marlon B.’s lawyer does not want to say more about Thursday’s hearing other than that his client will be present. It is not clear whether Marlon B. is going to say something or has changed his attitude.
The justice department will probably demand a high prison sentence or a somewhat lower prison sentence in combination with treatment. If Marlon B. remains silent, this attitude could also lead to a higher sentence if the court believes that he is responsible for Silvana’s death.
