Jan Olschowsky has celebrated a meteoric rise in recent weeks. In the last two games before the winter break, the 21-year-old represented the injured goalkeeper duo Yann Sommer and Tobias Sippel at Borussia Mönchengladbach and impressed in both Bundesliga appearances. After the election in the eleven of the match day, the deserved adjustment in terms of market value follows at Transfermarkt.
In the course of the update of the Regionalliga West, Olschowsky increases from 300,000 to 500,000 euros and thus consolidates his place as the most valuable player in the league. Before his appearances in the top division, he had already played eleven times in goal for the second division in the fourth division and conceded only ten goals. With his new market value, Olschowsky is now one of the five most valuable German goalkeepers with a maximum of 21 years.
Sidi Sané, the younger brother of international Leroy Sané, also made his Bundesliga debut at Schalke 04 on the last day of the game. The 19-year-old had previously scored three goals in eleven games in the West Regional League. Its market value more than doubles from 75,000 to 200,000 euros. This puts the native of Essen in shared eighth place in the league.
A large proportion of the most valuable players, like Olschowsky and Sané, come from the secondary representation of professional clubs – or from the Preußen Münster squad. The clear table leader (eight points ahead of Gladbach) still has the most valuable squad with 3.11 million euros, but there were no major revaluations or devaluations.
