Plus for Jagielloni talent Mazurek

Transfermarkt has updated the market values of the Ekstraklasa and re-evaluated 190 players. Jonatan Braut Brunes will be replaced as the most valuable player in the league so far by a duo: both Lechia Gdansk’s center forward Tomas Bobcek and the 19-year-old Marcel Regula from Zaglebie Lubin will rise by 2 million to 7 million euros, passing the attacker from Raków Czestochowa, who remains unchanged at 6 million.
Regula in particular is likely to be a candidate for moving abroad next summer. The youngster recorded five goals and four assists this season and is in the middle of a tight championship race with Lubin, which was considered a relegation candidate. “Regula can be used in a variety of ways, whether in attacking midfield or in attack, and has finally made the breakthrough this season. The club president recently said in an interview that negotiations would only begin at 5 million,” explains Transfermarkt’s Poland expert Michael Sroka.
For Bobcek, who leads the league’s top scorer list with 14 goals in 22 appearances, there is said to have been an offer of 6 million euros from Slavia Prague and FC Southampton in the winter. He has also reached his current career high of 7 million euros.
Bartosz Mazurek from Jagiellonia Bialystok has the biggest plus in the league – like Regula, he is only 19 years old and following in the footsteps of Oskar Pietuszewski, who moved to FC Porto for 8 million euros in the winter. “Mazurek is the next Jagiellonia talent who could move for a hefty fee in the summer; since December he has almost always been in the starting line-up. His hat-trick in the Conference League against Fiorentina in particular caused a huge stir, which is probably why he ended up in a few notebooks,” said Sroka. For the playmaker, the figure goes up by 2.9 million to 3.5 million euros, which means he jumps to third place in his team.
At the reigning champions and league leaders Lech Poznan, central defender Wojciech Mońka is making the headlines. “He is the ultimate high-flyer and has become an absolute regular player. Given his development, it is to be expected that he will be sold in the summer, and the transfer fee should go in the direction of Jan Ziolkowski’s move to AS Roma,” said Sroka. Ziolkowski cost 6.6 million euros in the summer of 2025, while for Mońka it will initially go up from 1.5 million to 4 million euros.
While everything is going according to plan at Lech Poznan, two other top clubs are stuck in the relegation battle this season: Legia Warsaw and Widzew Lodz are in 15th and 17th place and are therefore recording significant losses in terms of squad value. The capital club loses around a quarter of its value, falling from 20.4 euros to 14.8 million euros. Lodz loses 3.6 million euros and is now at 23.3 million euros.
“Two traditional clubs in the fight for survival, Legia in particular is quite a shock this season,” says expert Sroka. “Widzew Lodz is owned by one of the richest men in the country and has completely shattered the league’s spending record – but they are still fighting against relegation. Symbolic for the season is Osman Bukari, by far the most expensive entry into the Ekstraklasa, who was not in the squad twice recently under the new coach.” Bukari came from Austin FC for 5.5 million euros and is losing 1.5 million euros in market value. With now 3 million euros, he is out of the top 10 in the league.

The transfer market market values are created taking into account various pricing models as well as a strong involvement of the transfer market community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values cannot generally be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
