Cancer is difficult to do. Mark Hoppus Von Blink-182 still finds a positive view of the time survived.
Mark Hoppus: “I had a pretty great life”
In his biography “Fahrenheit-182” published on April 8 Tom Delonge Restored and thus also helped the band to the well-known line-up. “From day one he said: ‘What do you need? I’m there’,” said Mark Hoppus in an interview with “The Guardian” about the book. “In this friendship as well as the love and support of the people around me, I thought: ‘Do you know what? I had a pretty great life.'”
Tom Delonge returned to Blink-182
The lymphatic cancer bothered the musician – in July 2021 he made the fourth stage public. “I really thought I would die,” admitted Mark Hoppus. For months he feels like pain, chemotherapy and steroids – but at least “brought this time back friendships that I hadn’t had for years”.
A few months later, the healthy news: his doctors: Hoppus explained for cancer -free inside, but regular tests are mandatory. In “Fahrenheit-182”, in addition to cancer, of course, the founding of Blink-182 and how the trio became one of the biggest pop-punk bands of all time.
At the time of the diagnosis in 2021, Delonge was not part of Blink-182-the singer and guitarist had risen for the second time in 2015 due to creative differences. In the first disputes in 2005, the band took a break of several years, in 2015 Mark Hoppus and drummer led Travis Barker The group with Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio. Together with him, they also recorded two albums. In October 2022 Finally Tom Delonge returned and replaced Skiba. One More Time (2023) is therefore considered a comeback album in classic band line-up among fans.
