The Swiss TV broadcaster SRF will be released in the coming season. Because Stefan Abplanalp, who previously commented on the alpine ski races, becomes the new speed coach of the Swiss team of women. Anyone who gets their place at the broadcaster is not yet clear.
At the request of the “Blick”, the SRF explained: “Anyone who will replace Stefan Abplanalp on the SRF microphone is still open. It is also not yet clear what the selection process will look like.” According to the “Blick”, various candidates are eligible. Accordingly, Maria Höfl-Riesch. The former German ski racer and three -time Olympic champion showed interest.
She told the daily newspaper: “Yes, I could imagine the job.” When asked whether a German could also comment on Swiss television, she said: “Maybe some would be surprised, but that would not be that unusual either.” She named Marco Büchel as an example. The Liechtensteiner has been an expert at ZDF for 15 years.
He too would also be the successor to Abplanalp, but he already told the “Blick” that he very much appreciated his “family” at ZDF, as he called his colleagues. Accordingly, he had “no intention to go away”.
However, it remains unclear whether Höfl-Riesch will be the new SRF expert. The 40-year-old also seems very happy with her new partner Johann Schrempf.
She told the “gala” that she was conducting a long-distance relationship with her 62-year-old partner and said that she was lucky that “I can divide my time a bit”. Schrempf is obviously on cruise ships more often. “If he is gone for two or three months at a time, then I can at least come for a trip or two,” continued Höfl-Riesch.
