“If you need something, let me know”

In the Bundesliga they were long fierce opponents, in the MLS they will not play against each other for the time being. Nevertheless, Marco Reus has now addressed Thomas Müller – with an offer.
Thomas Müller changes to the Vancouver Whitecaps to Major League Soccer – which has been speculated for weeks, confirmed Müller and the Canadian club on Wednesday (read more about this here). The 35-year-old becomes the next football world star that changes to the MLS. Lionel Messi (Inter Miami) is already playing in the league and outshines other “older acquaintances” from Europe.
In the MLS, Müller also meets an ex-way companion from the national team and at the same time ex-opponent from the Bundesliga: Marco Reus, who has been playing for La Galaxy in Los Angeles since 2024. The two fought with their clubs FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund for years of bitter duels in Germany’s highest division, were on the pitch in the DFB team. Know each other perfectly.
And the 36-year-old sent his old acquaintance a personal message directly to the announcement of the change: “Hello Thomas, I’m, Marco,” says Reus in a somewhat blurred video. “I wanted to say first: Congratulations and welcome to the MLS.” And further: “I hope you will have a lot of fun. If you need something, let me know.”
The 35-year-old will not meet Reus or World Champion Messi so quickly. Vancouver has already played its main round games against Los Angeles Galaxy and Inter Miami.
In the playoffs, too, the paths of Müller and Reus should not cross. Vancouver is the second in the Western Conference, but Reus should miss the playoffs as the bottom with the defending champion. Messi, on the other hand, could make it fifth in the east with Miami.
