Spanish bridal fashion retailer Pronovias is about to change leadership. On Monday, the company announced the appointment of Marc Calabia Gibert as CEO. He will take over the post on September 1, according to a statement.
Calabia comes from the Spanish retail group Tendam, where he most recently managed the Springfield brand as Managing Director. During his career spanning more than 25 years, Calabia has also held various management positions at well-known international companies such as Desigual, Levi Strauss and The Body Shop.
At Pronovias, Calabia succeeds Amandine Ohayon, who, according to the group, has decided to pursue a different career path. Clement Kwan is to lead the company as interim CEO until the new top manager joins in the fall. Kwan has previously supported Pronovias as an advisor and is expected to return to that role in September.
The company, which was taken over by a consortium of investors a few months ago, also announced the appointment of two more executives. Accordingly, Maria Muntaner will become the new Chief Marketing Officer on July 1st. At the same time, Gemma Ruiz will take on the role of Chief Product and Merchandising Officer.
