Måns Zelmerlöw, who was second in Melodifestivalen this year, was known to the Swedish broadcaster SVT already during the competition Aftonbladet.

Aftonblafet reported to their sources that the decision-makers of Melodifestivalen knew Zelmerlöw’s drug use and his ex-wife Ciara Janson the claims associated with intimate partner violence.

Recently, because of his divorce and various heavy accusations, Zelmerlöw, who has been rushed in the stir, has admitted that he has used drugs in public. The 2015 visa winner was a preliminary favorite in Sweden’s Eurovision Song Contest. In the end, the Finnish-Swedish Kaj band won the victory.

Aftonbladet source says that Zelmerlöw’s drug addiction was talked about behind the scenes for a long time. According to a source that spoke to the magazine, “everyone knew” about it.

The artist is said to have used drugs to participate in the melodifestivalen. There is also a witness’s statement recorded in the minutes of Zelmerlöw and his ex-wife’s post-resignation trial.

Many have told the magazine that Zelmerlöw would have used cocaine in the continuation of the Mello final.

“I find it despicable that SVT allowed him to participate in Sweden’s largest television program, even though they knew about this,” one source tells Aftonbladet.

Shortly after the Melodifestivalen final, Zelmerlöw’s ex-wife Ciara Janson opened a couple of divorces on social media. At the same time, he made severe accusations.

– I’ve been silent for too long and protected my husband. Yesterday I submitted a divorce application in Britain to stay private. This turned out to be impossible, so it is important to tell my own truth and defend myself, he wrote.

“I can’t let my children live in a hostile environment, submit to drug use, mental and physical violence and infidelity,” ex-spouse stated in his publication.

Zelmerlöw has admitted drug use but denies domestic violence.

– You who believe that I would be dangerous or violent towards ciara or my own children, I want to say: I have never threatened or struck my children or my wife. It’s the truth, said Zelmerlöw before.

Melodifestivalen Project Manager Anders Wistbacka Reply to Aftonbladet that they have not received such claims during the competition. He commented that even though some had been aware of Zelmerlöw’s activities, the information has not passed on to him.

Wistbacka adds how a zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol use is in melodifestivalen.
