Mané voted best football player in Africa
Sadio Mane has been voted Africa’s best player of the past season. The attacker left Liverpool this summer for Bayern Munich, who paid more than €32 million for him.
The 30-year-old Mané won the Africa Cup with Senegal at the beginning of this year. Senegal will be the first opponent of the Dutch national team at the World Cup on November 21. Mané was preferred over Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Edouard Mendy (Chelsea).
Mané was also voted Africa’s best footballer in 2019.
