The Bundesliga season is just over. But the clubs are already planning for the coming season. All important news in the transfer ticker.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s sports director Markus Krösche had already feared a departure of top striker Hugo Ekitiké in May. “He is one of the most interesting strikers on the European market. Hugo has to decide. I am glad that we have it. If he decides differently, our credo is: If a player develops faster than we do, we let him go,” said Krösche at Sport1.
Now momentum could come to the Causa Ekitiké. As the English newspaper “Daily Mail” reports, Manchester United shines an eye on the French. Ekitiké, who still has a contract in Frankfurt until 2029, would probably bring in a transfer fee of around 90 million euros.
Gerardo Seoane, coach of Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach, has rejected rumors about a possible club change. The transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri had reported that the Spanish club FC Seville was impressed by Seoane and offered him a two-year contract.
The Swiss coach’s consultant, José Noguera, now denied this report in an interview with the TV broadcaster Sky. “The rumors are not correct. There is no offer from Sevilla FC and no negotiations,” he said. “Gerardo has a valid contract at Borussia and is already planning the coming season. He wants to stay with Borussia and does not deal with a departure.”
Seone’s contract in Gladbach runs until summer 2026.
The AS Monaco continues to work on Paul Pogba’s commitment. As the TV broadcaster Sky and the transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano unanimously report, the negotiations between the currently unifying player and the club have made clear progress. According to Romano, the club would like to bring the deal this weekend. Pogba should receive a two -year contract in Monaco.
Pogba, previously playing for Juventus, had given a positive doping test in August 2023. Initially, it was blocked for four years because of too high testosterone values. Pogba denied that he had used a means of increasing performance and acted against the judgment. The International Sports Court of CAS finally came to the conclusion that Pogba did not deliberately dop and reduced the lock to 18 months. In November 2024, Juventus announced the termination of the contract with the 32-year-old today. Now he could celebrate his comeback on the soccer field.
In addition to Pogba, Monaco would also like to sign Ansu Fati from FC Barcelona. According to Romano, the negotiations have also progressed there.
After a season with mixed results, Real Madrid has set a clear signal on the transfer market: The Spanish record champion signed the 17-year exceptional talent Franco Mastantuono. As his club River Plate announced on Friday, the “royal” pay a transfer fee of 63 million euros for the offensive midfielder.
