Management takes over laundry provider from Calida Group

The Cologne lingerie brand Erlich Textil was taken over by the Calida Group as part of a management buyout.

The managers around Sarah Grohé are now running the brand independently again and want to manage the turnaround “on their own,” as the founder writes on the career network Linkedin.

She is also joined by Markus Dembski, who has been Chief Financial Officer since November; Philipp Schatz, Head of Marketing; Franziska Schüller, Product Manager; Kristof Kruse, Head of Sales & Operations, and Creative Director Dilara Yilmaz are part of the team.

In mid-June it became known that the Swiss group Calida Holding AG, which includes the Calida, Aubade and Cosabella brands, was separating from the Erlich Textil lingerie brand, which it took over in February last year. Calida and Erlich then started looking for a solution. After a fruitless search for new investors, which is “not exactly easy at the moment,” as CFO Dembski explains, the Erlich management decided to take action themselves.

“Over the course of a few weeks it became more concrete and suddenly we were sitting at the notary to close the deal,” said Dembski in a Linkedin post. “So from now on we are on our own responsibility, with everything that goes with it. So it will continue to be exciting.”

FashionUnited has contacted Calida Group for comment.
