Late on Wednesday evening around 11.45 p.m., a man ran towards several passers-by on Werbellinstrasse in Berlin-Neukölln – and literally fell into their arms.

The man had a profusely bleeding stab wound in the pelvic area. Passers-by immediately called the emergency services. The injured man was stabilized by paramedics and an ambulance and taken to the hospital.

The police officers searched the immediate vicinity on foot for a possible crime scene or traces of blood.

The criminal police are investigating where and under what circumstances the man sustained the injury. According to initial findings, a criminal offense is assumed.
