The traffic police caught a man on Wednesday on the Ringweg in Best who can write four offenses to his name. Agents checked him because he drove a car that had no registered license plate, but there turned out to be incorrect. “From bad to worse,” says the traffic police.
Agents saw a car driving on Wednesday afternoon that looked like it needed some maintenance. They decided to stop the vehicle so that they could check the driver. “Before we stopped, we saw in the license plate register that it was a so -called ghost vehicle. Not a good start.” A ghost car is a car is not registered.
When agents asked the man for his driver’s license, the driver showed one that turned out to be really fake. And it didn’t stop there. In the trunk of the car, bags were full of about one hundred packaging sunscreen, toothpaste and other care items. “An inventory on which an average drugstore would be jealous,” concludes the traffic police.
The driver could not convince the agents that he had bought the things himself. “We had a strong suspicion that he was on a ride.”
The man has been arrested for forgery and theft. An official report is also made against him for driving without a driver’s license and with an invalid license plate. The car has been seized.
