Ferrari is one of the favorites at the race in Monaco. But they will have to compete on Saturday without their team boss. He is in the hospital.
Ferrari team boss Frédéric Vasseur has to spend the qualifying day at the Monaco Grand Prix in a clinic. The Scuderia announced this on Saturday. The racing team is silent about the reasons.
After some tests, Vasseur will remain at the facility for observation. The team will not release further details.
Ferrari wrote in a statement: “We wish Fred a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back on track soon.”
The Frenchman has been the Scuderia team boss since the beginning of 2023. Monaco is the sixth round of the season. After strong training performances, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton are considered favorites to win on the streets of Monte-Carlo.
