With a market value of 25 million euros, Amad Diallo was one of the most valuable players with an expiring contract. Manchester United changed this on Thursday and gave the 22-year-old winger a new working paper until 2030. With six goals and seven assists, the Ivorian is the Red Devils’ second best scorer this season.
“I am really proud to have signed this new contract. I have already experienced some incredible moments with this club, but there is still so much more to do. I have big ambitions in football and want to make history at Manchester United,” said Diallo. “I have learned so much since I came here four years ago. I am very grateful to the coaches and staff who have helped me develop and to the fans who encourage me every day. It’s been a difficult season for everyone, but I firmly believe that we are on the right track and the future will be very special. I’m ready to give everything to help the team and make our fans proud again.”
The right winger was signed by Atalanta for 21.3 million euros in 2021. Interrupted by two loan spells, he has played 49 games so far in which he has scored nine goals and nine assists. It has since increased its market value from 15 million to 25 million euros.
