The facts took place on Saturday evening in a house in Baliestraat, a quiet neighborhood in the vicinity of the City Museum (STAM) in Ghent. A man, born in 1971, was seriously injured after being stabbed. The public prosecutor’s office is scant with comments and points out that the facts took place in a domestic quarrel. But no comment has been made on the identities of the three other people present or even the gender.
Presumably it is an argument that got out of hand in which there was a fight and a knife was pulled. In order to check the credibility of the statements of the three people present, a trace investigation was carried out in the home. The three present were also arraigned and detained by the investigating judge while the investigation is ongoing.
