Man falls off site at Mötley Crüe concert

A tragic accident occurred during a Mötley Crüe show in Indianapolis: A concert-goer fell from an upper floor of Lucas Oil Stadium and was seriously injured. The man is now in the hospital.

The incident happened on the evening of August 16th. During the Mötley Crüe performance, a man “stumbled” from a high area around 10 p.m., according to the local newspaper “Indianapolis Star”. According to the police, the man was “drunk”. His condition was said to be stable when he was found, although he had to be transported to the nearest hospital. There is no information on the height of the fall so far.

Fan is said to have been drunk

A spokesman for the responsible police authority reported one day after the accident more detailed information about the event: When the paramedics found the man, he is said to have been “awake and breathing” on the ground. He also reported that “the adult male was extremely intoxicated and leaned over the railing, causing him to fall.”

Several fans witnessed the fall. After hearing the dull noise, they would have known immediately that it could only be a human being. “You could hear the loud screams despite the music,” recalled a witness.

Monica Whitfield Brase, manager of Lucas Oil Stadium, said in a further statement that the consequences of the accident were not known. “At this time we do not believe that other guests or stadium staff were involved in the incident,” she said.

Motley Crue live 2022

Mötley Crüe’s North American tour kicked off in June and is scheduled to conclude in November. It’s their first major tour in seven years and includes Def Leppard. Indianapolis featured guest appearances by Poison and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

Previously, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee suffered severe injuries when he fell down a flight of stairs while on vacation and fractured his ribs. As a result, Lee was temporarily replaced by Tommy Clufetos. He played with Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper and Ted Nugent, among others. The drummer has since recovered and is back on tour with his band.
